Installation

You’ve picked out the perfect Jacuzzi® and hot tub accessories, determined location site and designed the landscaping (if its an outdoor spa). Now it’s time to install your new hot tub! Watch the video below and check out our Jacuzzi® Hot Tub installation tips to see just how easy the process can be.

Choose Your Foundation

Before your Jacuzzi® arrives, be sure you’ve determined the appropriative hot tub foundation. Here are some options to consider.

Concrete: Concrete is a popular choice, as it’s often an existing element of your patio or yard design.  Concrete is also sturdy and long lasting. If you’re working with a concrete surface, insure that it’s level and is in good condition. You can also have a single slab of concrete poured into a custom foundation.

Deck: Decks often serve as a great hot tub location and they’ve typically been leveled during their construction. If you choose a deck locale, have the deck inspected prior to spa installation and be sure you have the proper supports. Most decks can hold the weight of a hot tub, but better safe than sorry.

Spa pad: Prefabricated spa pads are one of the simplest solutions for a hot tub foundation, and they look great. Simply clear a level area of grass and topsoil, lay out the spa foundation pad (Check out Jacuzzi® Brand’s high-tech polyethylene spa pad for superior quality) and you’re ready for hot tub installation.

Learn About Electrical and Plumbing

Depending on the spa size, Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs require 120 volt or 240 volt connections.  And you’ll be happy to know that plumbing isn’t required for a Jacuzzi® Hot Tub installation. Simply fill your spa with a garden hose and balance the water.  Jacuzzi® Hot Tub installation is that easy!

Plan For Delivery

Although a delivery plan will be outlined by your local dealer, review the tips below to insure a smooth, easy process on delivery day:

Measure the width of gates, doors and sidewalks to insure your spa has a clear path, free of obstruction.

Make sure the spa can pass through any 90-degree turns.

Remove objects like plants or outdoor furniture that might impede or delay the delivery process.

Check overhead clearance: Inspect your property for low ceiling heights, roof eaves, rain gutters and overhanging branches.

If you follow these tips, you’ll be just as relaxed on delivery day as you’ll be in your new Jacuzzi® Hot Tub!  Still have questions or need additional information? Contact us here for installation ideas. Or pick up some great Jacuzzi® spa inspiration from this video
