Choosing your spa

What to Look for in a Hot Tub

When shopping for a hot tub, it can be difficult to know which features are important and where to invest your money. There are many parts of your new Jacuzzi® that impact the value of your investment. When selecting your hot tub, the important considerations are the quality of the materials, dimensions, seating options, entertainment features and warranty options.

Jets and Massage

Hot tub jets are not always created equal, and having more jets in your hot tub doesn’t always mean they deliver the same amount of pressure. It’s important to have balanced jets, power and airflow. If you’d like a spa that offers therapeutic massage, don’t forget about the jets that deliver hydrotherapy to your legs, feet, hands and neck. Look for a Jacuzzi® hot tub with adjustable massage jets that personalize your experience with the Aqualibrium system - the ideal mix of water and air that can be tailored to your preferences.

Quality Materials

Every inch of your Jacuzzi® hot tub, even the parts you can’t see, are exceptionally engineered with top of the line, quality materials to ensure a superior product. Our spas come equipped with a durable, stain and scratch resistant, acrylic shell. Those encased in cabinetry utilize a synthetic wood that is UV-resistant and weather-resistant, keeping your spa beautiful year on year. Choose a hot tub model with an intuitive control system that’s easy to use, even when it’s dark.

Water Management

If sparkling, clean water is a priority, you’ll want a spa with a top of the line filtration system that maintains excellent water quality while keeping maintenance to a minimum. Jacuzzi® sophisticated systems have multiple levels of filtration, which reduce the amount of time needed to keep your water fresh and clean.

The Jacuzzi® Hot Tub CLEARRAY water management system uses advanced technology to simplify your water care. With its ease of use and exceptional performance, clean, clear water is a given.

Portable vs. In-Ground

The difference between portable and in-ground hot tubs is their placement, shape and size and installation method. A portable hot tub can be placed in a variety of locations, whether it’s vaulted into the ground, situated on a patio or built into a surrounding deck. Portable hot tubs are easy to maintain and contain advanced filtration systems and covers. Many portable hot tub models offer options for varied seating and jets.

If you’re not sure what size hot tub you need, consider the number of people who will use it, how it will be used and where it will be installed. Remember that the number of seats doesn’t necessarily determine the exterior dimensions, and adding a few more seats may only slightly change the overall size.

Your seating configuration may be one of the most important things to consider when purchasing a hot tub, and it may determine just how often you settle in for a soak. The larger the tub, the more options you’ll have for entertaining and offering a targeted hydromassage for family and friends.

If it’s relaxation you’re after, lounge seats and therapy seats are options you’ll want to choose. Love seats are perfect for two people who want to get cozy.

There are individuals who find that hot tubs are sometimes too hot. They need to retreat to an area that exposes less of their body to the hotter temperatures. Jacuzzi® solves that problem with its cool-down seats that sit higher above the water line and are great for kids or anyone who wants to take a break from the heat.

A hot tub cover will keep debris out of the system, maintain heat and give you an added level of safety when your spa is not in use. It’s important to select a hot tub cover that is designed specifically for your model, and one that fits tightly to better shield your hot tub from the elements.

A trusted company will stand behind its guarantees.
